This Backdoor adds the following registry entries to enable its automatic execution at every system startup:

It adds and runs the following services:

  • IP Client
    • Path = "C:\ProgramData\IPHelper\IPHelper.exe ""1238"""
    • DisplayName = "IPcache"

Backdoor Routine

This Backdoor executes the following commands from a remote malicious user:

  • Execute Arbitrary Code(s) received from the C&C
  • List files within a directory
  • Copy, delete, rename, or move files
  • List available drives and its drive type

It connects to the following URL(s) to send and receive commands from a remote malicious user:

  • {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.13.155:443

Web Browser Home Page and Search Page Modification

This Backdoor modifies the Internet Explorer Zone Settings.

This Backdoor requires the existence of the following files to properly run:
