This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Installation
This Trojan drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:
- %User Profile%\AppData\Roaming\IDMComp\Common\diskpart.exe
(Note: %User Profile% is the current user's profile folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name} on Windows 2000(32-bit), XP, and Server 2003(32-bit), or C:\Users\{user name} on Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 2008(64-bit), 2012(64-bit) and 10(64-bit).)
It drops the following files:
- %User Temp%\nsnBF2.tmp
- %User Temp%\notebookbarpopup.ui
- %User Temp%\59.opends60.dll
- %User Temp%\co6005fromstring.cs
- %User Temp%\MakeZipExe.exe
- %User Temp%\businesspatterns-3.gif
- %User Temp%\CrmIntSdk.hxt
- %User Temp%\function
- %User Temp%\Satang
- %User Temp%\adminicle.exe
- %User Temp%\Brigalow.dll
- %User Temp%\{random characters}.lnk --> targets the dropped copy

Autostart Technique
This Trojan drops the following shortcut pointing to its copy in the User Startup folder to enable its automatic execution at every system startup:
- diskpart.lnk
Other System Modifications
This Trojan modifies the following file(s):

Step 1

Restart in normal mode and scan your computer with your Trend Micro product for files detected as Trojan.Win32.MSISTAH.J. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
