This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

Installation

This Trojan adds the following processes:

  • %User Temp%\RarSFX0\CallReg.exe
  • %System%\reg.exe REG delete "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment" /v TARGET_ROOT /f
  • ERDROOT.EXE
  • %System%\cmd.exe /c REG QUERY "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment" /V TARGET_ROOT
  • SYSTEMRESTORE.EXE
