This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

It does not have any propagation routine.

This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

Installation

This Trojan drops the following non-malicious file:

  • %System%\systime_information

(Note: %System% is the Windows system folder, where it usually is C:\Windows\System32 on all Windows operating system versions.)

Propagation

This Trojan does not have any propagation routine.

Backdoor Routine

This Trojan does not have any backdoor routine.

Download Routine

This Trojan accesses the following websites to download files:

  • http://pirno.{BLOCKED}r.pw/indexm/index.html
  • http://pirno.{BLOCKED}r.pw/indexm/{info}.html

It saves the files it downloads using the following names:

  • %System%\getindexinfo.txt - deleted afterwards
  • c:\windows\system32\{info}.dat - encrypted, deleted afterwards
  • c:\windows\system32\{info}.exe - decrypted version of c:\windows\system32\{info}.dat, the malware executes this afterwards

(Note: %System% is the Windows system folder, where it usually is C:\Windows\System32 on all Windows operating system versions.)

It then executes the downloaded files. As a result, malicious routines of the downloaded files are exhibited on the affected system.

As of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

Note that {info} is a string retrieved from http://pirno.{BLOCKED}r.pw/indexm/index.html via %System%\getindexinfo.txt.

It does not have rootkit capabilities.
