This Trojan saves the files it downloads using the following names:

  • %User Temp%\index.html - contains the URLs
  • %User Temp%\{strings in index.html}exe - downloaded file from the retrieved URLs in index.html
  • %User Temp%\{strings in index.html} - downloaded file from the retrieved URLs in index.html

(Note: %User Temp% is the current user's Temp folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temp on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003, or C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\Temp on Windows Vista and 7.)

This Trojan does not have any information-stealing capability.

It connects to the following URLs to download and execute possibly malicious files:

  • http://{BLOCKED}p.sst1.info/files/nb1/index.html?{random}
  • {URLs found in the downloaded file, index.html}

It connects to the following URL as a notification for successful download routine.

  • http://{BLOCKED}p.{BLOCKED}t1.info/files/nb1/success.asp?{random}

As of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

It does not have rootkit capabilities.
