This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

It runs certain commands that it receives remotely from a malicious user. Doing this puts the affected computer and information found on the computer at greater risk.

This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.

Backdoor Routine

This Trojan executes the following command(s) from a remote malicious user:

  • May execute files with the following extension when received:
    • .exe
    • .vbs
    • .ps1
      • format: "powershell -WindowsStyle Hidden -ep bypass -file "
    • .bat
    • .cmd
  • The next routine is arbitrary and depends on the executed file behavior. However, as of this writing, no additional file was received from the C&C.

It connects to the following URL(s) to send and receive commands from a remote malicious user:

  • {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.106.18:4177
  • {BLOCKED.{BLOCKED}.48.72:4177

It attempts to communicate with its C&C server using the following ports: $DATA$
