These files are prepended with malicious code(s).
Once this compromised file is executed, it executes the component malware file by calling an CLSID that points to the malicious file.

This Trojan does the following:
- This is Trend Micro's detection for compromised HTML (.HTM and .HTML) files. These files are prepended with malicious code(s). Once an unsuspecting user views an infected file it executes possible malicious file in the affected system. Once this compromised file is executed, it executes the component malware file by calling an CLSID that points to the malicious file.

Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.
Step 2
Close all opened browser windows
Step 3
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as HTML_ALLAPLE.SML. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
