HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
3406813a45cf8bdcd106619234d16e2b = ""%Application Data%\Win8.exe" .."

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\

List
%Application Data%\Win8.exe = "%Application Data%\Win8.exe:*:Enabled:Win8.exe"

Propagation

This worm drops the following copy(ies) of itself in all removable drives:

  • {removable drive letter}:\3406813a45cf8bdcd106619234d16e2b.exe

Dropping Routine

This worm drops the following files:

  • %Application Data%\Win8.exe.tmp

Other Details

  • a1a1a1b2b2b2.{BLOCKED}p.com

NOTES:

This worm creates shortcut files (.LNK) that use the names of the files located on the removable drives for their file names. It then sets the attributes of the original files to Hidden and System to trick the user into clicking the .LNK files.
