It arrives as a component bundled with malware/grayware packages.
Installation
This Trojan drops the following non-malicious file:
- %Windows%\control.ctr
(Note: %Windows% is the Windows folder, which is usually C:\Windows or C:\WINNT.)
Autostart Technique
This Trojan adds the following registry entries to enable its automatic execution at every system startup:

- It may capture snapshot images and mouse clicks on the affected system.
- It sends the data it gathers using its own Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to the following remote server:

- {BLOCKED}iso@hmail.com

Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

Terminate a process file/s detected as TROJ_BANBRA.DQ
*Note: If the detected file/s is/are not displayed in theWindows Task Manager, continue doing the next steps.
