This file infector arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Other Details
This file infector does the following:
- It infects any active Microsoft Word document files. It does this by copying its macro code to the open documents.
- It initially checks if "APMP" and "KILL" is present as line 1 and line 2 in the project template. This serves as its infection marker.
