This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Web Browser Home Page and Search Page Modification
This Trojan modifies the Internet Explorer Zone Settings.
Dropping Routine
This Trojan drops the following files:
- %Temporary Internet Files%\Content.IE5\{Random}\Encode.exe
- %System Root%\Users\Public\{Random Filename}.exe
(Note: %Temporary Internet Files% is the Temporary Internet Files folder, which is usually C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files on Windows 2000, XP, and Server 2003, or C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files on Windows Vista and 7, or C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache on Windows 8.. %System Root% is the Windows root folder, where it usually is C:\ on all Windows operating system versions.)

Step 1

Search and delete these files
