It arrives as a component bundled with malware/grayware packages.

Installation

This Trojan injects itself into the following processes as part of its memory residency routine:

  • Kxetray.exe
  • Kxescore.exe
  • 360tray.exe
  • 360sd.exe
  • /sbin/crashrpt.exe
  • TenioDL.exe
  • sysfixkill.exe

Other Details

This Trojan does the following:

  • It will load the following DLLs to transfer its process using side-loading method:
    • TenioDL_core.dll
    • sysfixkill.exe
    • ksmcorex.dll
    • ksecorex.dll
    • kdump.dll
    • /sbin/HWSignature.dll
  • It will parse the following files "config.js" and "config2.js" (detected as TROJ_MALOAD.CFG) to build the following URLs for its component files:
    • sltp://setup.{BLOCKED}01.info:1108/setup2.pkg
    • sltp://setup.{BLOCKED}01.info:1108/runtime2sp.pxz
    • sltp://setup.{BLOCKED}01.info:1108/runtime.pxz
