Installation

This Trojan drops the following files:

  • %UserProfile%\g23h5.dll - detected by Trend Micro as BKDR_AGENT.AOU
  • %UserProfile%\mslog.dat - non malicious

This Trojan modifies the following registry entries:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\

Start = 2

(Note: The default value data of the said registry entry is 3.)

NOTES:

The dropped DLL component is injected into SVCHOST.EXE to remain memory resident.

It connects to {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.17.210 and sends basic system information.

For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

Step 2

Remove malware files dropped/downloaded by TROJ_INJECT.AUH

    BKDR_AGENT.AOU

Step 3

Restart in Safe Mode
