What is a zero-day exploit?
A zero-day exploit is an exploit that takes advantage of a publicly disclosed or undisclosed vulnerability prior to vendor acknowledgment or patch release. These exploits pose a much higher risk to vulnerable systems as cybercriminals usually take advantage of these for their purposes.
