Libstagefright Vulnerability in Android (CVE-2015-6610)

This vulnerability is found in the libstagefright in Android before 5.1.1 LMY48X and 6.0 before 2015-11-01. When successfully exploited, it allows remote attackers to gain privileges or cause denial of service (DoS) via a crafted app. As such, this compromises the security of the device.

Trend Micro researcher Seven Shen discovered and reported about this vulnerability to Google. The said company credited Shen for his research contribution.
