This malware attempts to exploit two Java vulnerabilities to install the Flashback Mac Trojan Horse.

  • /tmp/.sysenterxx or /tmp/.sysenter - detected by Trend Micro as OSX_FLASHBCK.DL

Step 1

Remove malware files dropped/downloaded by JAVA_DROPPR.IC

Step 3

Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as JAVA_DROPPR.IC. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
