  • explorer.exe

This Trojan connects to the following URL(s) to get the affected system's IP address:

  • api.{BLOCKED}y.org

It connects to the following website to send and receive information:

  • {BLOCKED}ransit.ru/ls5/gate.php
  • {BLOCKED}taleft.ru/ls5/gate.php
  • {BLOCKED}grolhem.com/ls5/gate.php

    Using ip {BLOCKED}.{BLOCKED}.149.178 and port 80

It does the following:

  • It contains a message that entices customer to enable macro.
  • It is capable of downloading and executing file on the affected system. As a result, behavior of the downloaded file is exhibited on the affected system.

However, as of this writing, the said sites are inaccessible.

This is the Trend Micro detection for Microsoft Word documents that are compromised through the insertion of a malicious macro.

It gathers the following information and reports it to its servers:

  • OS Version
  • IP Address
  • Machine GUID

    The information are posted to the server in the following format: GUID={machine guid}&BUILD=&INFO={info}&IP={IP address}&TYPE=1&WIN={OS version}

Step 1

Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.

Step 2

Note that not all files, folders, and registry keys and entries are installed on your computer during this malware's/spyware's/grayware's execution. This may be due to incomplete installation or other operating system conditions. If you do not find the same files/folders/registry information, please proceed to the next step.
