Services\MSDIS

It adds the following registry entries:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Parameters
ServiceDll = %Program Files%\data.dll

Dropping Routine

This Trojan drops the following files:

  • C:\NewBook
  • %Windows%\plugin_info.ini
  • %Program Files%\data.dll - detected as TROJ_FAKEAV.SMZZ

(Note: %Windows% is the Windows folder, which is usually C:\Windows or C:\WINNT.. %Program Files% is the default Program Files folder, usually C:\Program Files.)

It executes the dropped file(s). As a result, malicious routines of the dropped files are exhibited on the affected system.
