This Trojan arrives on a system as a file dropped by other malware or as a file downloaded unknowingly by users when visiting malicious sites.
Installation
This Trojan drops the following files:
- %WINDOWS%\services.exe - detected as WORM_AUTORUN.FJI
- %WINDOWS%\oodbnt2.ini
- %WINDOWS%\UNINSTALLC32.exe - detected as TROJ_FALERT.MCS
- %WINDOWS%\LastGood\system32\scrrun.dll
- %system%\dllcache\scrrun.dll
- %USER TEMP%\errdlg.exe
- %USER TEMP%\rememberthistime.rar
- %USER TEMP%\Videoman1.exe
- %USER TEMP%\Videoman2.exe
It drops the following copies of itself into the affected system:
- %WINDOWS%\Pifex32.inf
It creates the following folders:
- %WINDOWS%\LastGood
- %WINDOWS%\LastGood\system32
- %Program Files%\Programs
(Note: %Program Files% is the default Program Files folder, usually C:\Program Files.)

Step 1
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 users, before doing any scans, please make sure you disable System Restore to allow full scanning of your computer.

Delete this registry key

- WORM_AUTORUN.FJI
Step 7
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as TROJ_DROPPER.IJX. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
