This Trojan redirects browsers to the following sites:
- http://{BLOCKED}oatworks.net/adobe/
NOTES:
It checks for the installed Java version.
If 1.5 <= Java version < 1.6.33 or 1.7.0 <= Java version < 1.7.10, it loads a jar file from the following URL and passes parameters to it:
- http://{BLOCKED}oatworks.net/topic/able_disturb_planning.php?ILdrVx=wMBABhJneOVPwaU&BmHiJIMkczuHJF=yfrFsse
It also checks for the installed Adobe Reader version.
If 8 <= Adobe Reader Version <=8.2, or 9 <= Adobe Reader Version <= 9.3, it redirects users to the following URL:

Step 1
Before doing any scans, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 users must disable System Restore to allow full scanning of their computers.
Step 2
Close all opened browser windows
Step 3
Remove malware/grayware files dropped/downloaded by JS_OBFUSC.CU
- TROJ_PIDIEF.EQS
Step 4
Scan your computer with your Trend Micro product to delete files detected as JS_OBFUSC.CU. If the detected files have already been cleaned, deleted, or quarantined by your Trend Micro product, no further step is required. You may opt to simply delete the quarantined files.
