Trend Micro announces Change of Independent Auditor  

Tokyo, Japan – February 9, 2006 - Trend Micro (TSE: 4704; Nasdaq: TMIC),
a leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software and
services, announced today that it has passed a resolution at its Board of Directors meeting held on February 9, 2006, to determine a new independent auditor in charge of audits under Paragraph 1, Article 2, of the Law for Special Exceptions to the Commercial Code Concerning Audits, etc., of Limited Companies (Kabushiki-kaisha) and Paragraph 1, Article 193-2 of the Securities and Exchange Law. The effecting of this change is conditional on the resolution at the 17th ordinary general meeting of shareholders on March 28, 2006.
